Giving the arrival a sense of depth.
The drawings bring the built volumes into contact with planting and mineral elements. A tree provides a visual reference while lower planting accompanies the approach. The entrance becomes a place in its own right.
The composition balances the clear lines of the architecture with looser plant forms. The two viewpoints help explain how these elements are experienced from different positions.
A conversation before detailed decisions.
One view explains the relationship between the entrance and the planting; the other reveals the depth of the composition. Together they help compare scale, atmosphere and the transition from the approach to the garden.
Plant selection, paving details, levels and water management would be developed with the actual conditions of the site and the agreed scope of the next design stage.
A study of intentions.
These images come from the design documents supplied for the portfolio. They are presented as study sketches, with no claim that they show a completed garden. Dimensions, a construction budget and the final planting specification are not established by these perspectives.
A further stage would relate the design to surveys, levels, technical interfaces and the documents agreed for the project. The precise scope and responsibilities are set out in the appointment.
